Dental Management Ideas (DMI) offers a wide variety of services to assist dental professionals in thriving endeavours. At DMI, we offer initial complimentary consultations to discuss and strategize the aspirations of the owner and subsequent team. DMI conducts an in depth investigation whereby our team of skilled consultants analyzes data to identify areas of opportunity found within the dental practice. DMI always keeps a return on investment mind frame. We track team performance monthly and are able to quickly calculate the return on investment (ROI) for our clients. We ensure that the progress in the practice is followed up with monthly and is part of the reports that we provide to assure that our fees and practice enhancements are evident. We provide one to one training for team members to demonstrate and integrate new systems and procedures. We do not operate of template systems. All of our procedures are customized and designed to suit the needs of the practice and reflect the individuality of the owner and patient demographics.

DMI Investigation

The investigation component is extremely important as it is the exploratory phase whereby we gain a better understanding of the inner workings of your dental practice. This allows us to gain further insight into the daily running of the practice and emphasize where the prospects are within the practice.

The following is a list of reports and calculations we use in the Investigation process:

Hygiene Department:

  • Assess the supply and demand by performing hygiene forecasting calculations.
  • Recare system, is there a follow up system? Is it effective?
  • Examine whether your current hygiene statistics meet industry standards?

Doctor Productivity:

  • Do the doctors production align with industry standards?
  • Examine the number of working hours provided based on number of active patients

Practice:

  • Number of active patients
  • Does the practice experience sustained growth
  • Are overhead expenses are within industry standards?
  • Examine labour costs
  • A/R are being maintained within industry standards meeting 3 measurable markers
  • Patient referrals?
  • Marketing and branding efforts; Do you know who you are as a practice and does that translate into the community?
